We thought this water park along the Seawalk was unique. The fountains start and stop without warning. Children (and their parents too) enjoy wading here. The air remained sufficiently warm at 7:30pm although the sun was near the horizon.
In the upper photo, notice the fueling barges out in the harbor. These are for refueling the pleasure craft that dock nearby and for an occasional seaplane.
I took these two pictures to show the Rancho Simi Recreation and Park District, which operates in my community. However, when we returned from our trip, I discovered that the District had already installed a water park like this in Simi Valley.
There is a marina along the Seawalk. We saw some interesting boats, some of which looked like houseboats. We also saw several scull crews exercising in the water.
