This year, the United States will elect a President. All members of the House of Representatives and one-third of the Senate are up for election. Many state legislatures will also be elected.
Either VOTE or else don't complain about the government.
But before you vote, check the candidates. One of the best sources on positions and voting records is the non-partisan Project Vote Smart.

There was the couple waiting for their luggage in a Florida airport when they noticed a man who was dressed in very heavy clothing. Wondering where he was from the husband went up to the gentleman and asked "Pardon me sir, but do you mine telling me where you're from?"

The other man thanked him and walked back to his wife.
His wife then asked "So, where's he from"?
To which the man replied "I don't know, he doesn't speak English"

I have several problems with these hot air blowers:
Anyone who thinks government owns a monopoly on inefficient, obstructive bureaucracy has obviously never worked for a large corporation.

When I turn on the faucet, water comes out. At night, the street lights come on. Our streets are swept, and our joint school and public library continues to operate. Both children and adults enjoy themselves in our community's parks. Our public schools are as good as any other schools — public or private — in California. Deputy Sheriffs patrolling our streets and judges in our courtrooms keep our community's crime rate very low in a county with one of the lowest crime rates in the nation. Mail is delivered six days each week. In Oak Park, government is working; it is not our enemy.
